In order to achieve success with our projects, we rely on our volunteer team. Our volunteers help with the many tasks required to complete the projects.
Every volunteer brings a set of skills. The more volunteers we have, the more effective our team becomes.
To become a Volunteer, click the button "Become A Volunteer" below and follow the instructions. You will receive a reply from us within a few business days.
Once you are added to our team, we will notify you when your help is needed. We will share the details of the project, date, time and location. You can either accept or deny the request.
If a project is going to take place on TWRA property, all Volunteers must be registered with the TWRA. This is a very simple process. If you agree to participate in one of these projects, we will facilitate your registration and approval to help with the project.

What can I expect as a volunteer working on a TWRA site?
The TWRA has a department with dedicated well trained people to take care of Douglas Lake. But they are also responsible for many other lakes in our region. This means they get spread pretty thin and do not always have the time or manpower available to accelerate and expand the fish habitat projects on our lake.

That's where our volunteer team comes in. We provide the manpower and resources to get the projects done. They provide guidance with regard to TVA Stewardship regulations and site evaluation and set up. We do the rest.

Our volunteer team is very diverse. And that's what makes us more effective. Each team member has their own skill set and experience. Some times just lending a hand, having a strong back or being handy with a shovel, chainsaw, or post hole digger is all we need to complete a project. Other more specialized skills like heavy equipment operators, CDL truck drivers and land surveyors are needed. Regardless of your skill set or experience, every volunteer is utilized and appreciated.
